A Brief Review of "The Paleo Recipe Book"

Losing weight requires maintaining a strict diet. Being reminded of that fact over and over again somehow gave me an impression that weight loss go hand in hand with dieting. The thing is, my impression of a "dieting" is going vegan which is something that I won't be able to manage. Being born and raised in Texas, I will never pass on the opportunity of eating barbecue and Texan-Mexican food that I grew up with. However, once my physician advised me to watch what I eat if I still want to reach old age, I felt like I really needed to turn things around.

The one thing that I am really concerned about dieting is that I won't be able to eat any of the food that I use to enjoy growing up. I felt like if I am going to follow a certain diet plan, it should be something that fall under the fine line of what I want to eat and what my doctor wants me to eat. Upon further research, I discovered that the Paleolithic Diet (often shortened into just "Paleo") is what I am looking for.

The Caveman Diet

The Caveman Diet, as it is otherwise known, is a nutritional plan which adapts known ancient recipes and turn them into healthy meals. The principles of a Paleo Diet is fairly simple- use only the ingredients that existed during the Paleolithic age and do away from crops and processed food. This means that I am only allowed to eat meals made of ingredients such as grass-fed and pasture-raised meat, fish, vegetables and fruit, fungi, certain nuts and roots. While it was hard for me to know more about the specifics of the Paleo Diet, especially preparing meals using limited ingredients, I found "The Paleo Recipe Book". The book contains a ton of simple and quite useful information on preparing nutritious and tasty food using the various ingredients that are allowed.

Benefits of the Caveman Diet

The Paleo Recipe Book highlighted some of the benefits of the Cavemen Diet which I've also seen and experienced first hand. Two of the most important benefits that I have felt include the following:

Quick Weight Loss - By strictly following the recipe book, trimming down was almost instant for me. After about two weeks, I already lost 21 pounds and on top of that, I looked significantly thinner.

Sudden Boost of Energy - Its surprising how the Paleo Diet also lets me obtain more energy through the low-carb meals that I prepare. Since I am consuming the actual food that my body is designed to process, my body performs optimally and is enabled to process more energy.

Purchasing The Paleo Recipe Book

Buying the book is the best thing that I have done so far. For me, it serves as the perfect guide for anyone who is trying out the Caveman Diet. The best thing about the "The Paleo Recipe Book" is that its not just an ordinary diet book. It is an actual guide and a valuable resource that includes:
  • more than 370 healthy recipes
  • easy-to-follow photo guides plus charts and reference sheets
  • free 8-week meal plan
  • handy guide for herbs and spices

Upon reading "The Paleo Recipe Book" and trying out its recipes and meal plans, I realized that the said book will be the only Caveman Diet guide that I'll ever need. As early as now, I experiencing the positive changes that the book and the said diet has brought upon. It not unusual for me to regret buying things, but I will never regret buying this book.
