An LCD screen on the front of the unit shows the charge level of each battery being charged, and the screen will indicate if a battery cannot be charged. Alkaline batteries can be charged up to 10 times, and the unit will charge NiCd and NiMH rechargeable batteries as well.

Alkaline batteries can be recharged up to 80 times on this unit, which also features an LED status light.
- You can find the Sierra Electric JB5411 Universal Battery Charger on Amazon.com for $25.99. It is able to charge AA, AAA, C, D and 9-volt batteries in its six charging slots. This unit accepts alkaline batteries in addition to rechargeable Ni-Cad, Ni-MH, high power and zinc carbon batteries, extending battery life up to 10 times. An LED monitor indicates battery status and charging level.
