Eating healthily is so important to losing weight this day in age. But falling into the trap of thinking something is healthy because the packet says it's healthy is going to leave you a sticky, fatty situation.
Look into the information on the packet next time you find something that is supposedly healthy, and you should look for the Recommended daily allowance (RDA) section. If it is over 10 percent of your guideline daily intake, then it is just not healthy. It is supposed to be a snack, something to tide you over until you are ready to eat a full meal. Nothing should be over 10%.
Instead, you should take time out of your day to cook healthy snacks. This gives you the peace of mind that what you are eating is actually healthy, because otherwise, you could be putting anything in your body.
Cooking does not take long at all, and it is actually rather therapeutic. Don't think that just because you have to cook it is going to take an hour to do so. It can be as simple as cutting up some carrot sticks to eat on the bus, where you would normally have a packet of crisps.
Pretty much all vegetables under the sun can be used to make something interesting and tasty, including beetroot. Beetroot is fantastic! It has so many important goodness inside it you would not believe it. The most interesting aspect is probably the fact that it contains antioxidants, which dioxide your blood, which as scary as it sounds, is actually a good thing.
Plain fruit is also a good way to get something healthy, and also something which is quick and easy down you, and you don't even have to cook it. You just have to peel it, and eat it. If you are feeling adventurous, you could make a fruit salad out of it.
Be careful with bananas though. Bananas can actually be deadly if you decide that you want to eat a lot of them within a short period of time. Although the risk is low, consumption of too many bananas will actually stop your heart!
