- A bungee jumper's height and weight will be assessed to choose the correct equipment for her size.
- Some bungee-jumping companies employ special equipment, such as a giant air bags or safety nets under the jumping area, to ensure safety in the event of a fall.
- Before you jump, make sure the company you are working with is licensed, their employees are well-trained and they have not had any safety violations. Contact the Better Business Bureau for more information on specific companies (see Resources).
- If the equipment fails, you could fall from a very extreme height at a very fast speed. Death or a life-changing injury is almost certain.
