ABC Announces 2012-13 Television Schedule
With the loss of Desperate Housewives, ABC is heading into fall with their current stable of dramas and adding five more exciting shows to the mix in hopes of finally getting back to those glory days when they gave CBS a run for their money.
From supernatural forces and government conspiracies to a new musical drama and drug kingpins, the upcoming dramas are as different and compelling as we've seen in many years from ABC.
Of the five new dramas, I think the most promising are 666 Park Avenue, which pairs Lost's Terry O'Quinn and Vanessa Williams together in this juicy sci-fi drama and the white-knuckled action series Last Resort.
After going through an entire season of Grey's Anatomy not knowing whether or not original cast members Ellen Pompeo, Patrick Dempsey, Sandra Oh, James Pickens, Jr., Justin Chambers and Chandra Wilson would sign on for another season, the group finally signed on the dotted line not not one, but two seasons... provided ABC keeps the series around for an additional season.
Canceled Dramas:GCB, Missing, Pan Am and The River. The end of Desperate Housewives was announced before the 2011-12 season began.
