- 1). Lay out the polyester wadding. Place the hanger on top of it. Trace around the hanger with a marker, making the tracing about a quarter inch larger than the hanger. Don't trace around the hook. Position the hanger at another spot on the wadding and draw around it a second time to match the first tracing. Cut out both tracings with scissors.
- 2). Lay out one of the tracings and place the hanger over it. Position the second tracing directly over the hanger so that the hanger minus the hook is sandwiched between the two pieces. Use the sewing needle and thread to sew around the edges of the wadding.
- 3). Lay the covered hanger on top of a piece of paper and draw around it with the marker, making the tracing half an inch larger than the hanger. Don't trace the hook. Cut out the paper template and cut it in half widthwise. Indicate which half is from the right side and which is from the left side of the hanger with the marker.
- 4). Trace the left half of the paper template onto the blue fabric twice. Trace the right half of the template onto the fabric twice. Cut out all four tracings.
- 5). Hold two of the fabric pieces with the sides lined up evenly and the front sides facing each other. Sew around the sides of the held pieces, using a 1/4-inch seam allowance. Don't sew across the widthwise cut side. Turn the piece right side out. Repeat this step for the remaining two fabric pieces.
- 6). Slip the sewn pieces over each end of the hanger. Tuck the raw ends of the fabric inside the pieces' openings. Sew the two pieces together down the middle of the hanger.
- 7). Draw three daisy shapes onto the yellow felt. Each daisy should have six long, tapering petals that look similar to the motif on the Girl Scout Daisy Membership Pin. They should also be smaller than the height of the covered portion of the hanger. Cut out the daisies and sew them onto the hanger's fabric covering, with one flower at the center of the hanger and the one at each end of the hanger.
