How to Glue Lexan to PVC

    • 1). Place the Lexan and PVC flat on top of the worktable.

    • 2). Inspect the edges of the plastics to ensure that the edges you are bonding are smooth. If the edges are rough or uneven, sand the edges with 220-grit sandpaper until smooth. For applications where the flat sides of the two sheets, skip this step.

    • 3). Wipe the surfaces of the Lexan and PVC to be glued with a clean rag to remove dust and debris from the areas.

    • 4). Fill the squeeze bottle with the syringe tip with adhesive.

    • 5). Place the two plastic surfaces to be bonded tightly together and apply pressure to the squeeze bottle to release adhesive into the seam.

    • 6). Hold the pieces firmly in place until the glue holds the two pieces together. The hold time will vary depending on the adhesive manufacturer.

    • 7). Allow the glued joint to cure for 24 hours before putting the glued Lexan and PVC to use.
