How to Walk in Extremely Strappy Sandals

    • 1). Buy shoes that truly fit your foot and that have sturdy straps to keep your foot in place. Make sure the shoe does not dig into any of your toes or elsewhere on your foot, but that it also fits firmly in place on your foot.

    • 2). Strap the shoe in place on your foot firmly. You want the straps to be snug but not uncomfortable. If the straps are too loose on the shoe, chafing and instability can occur.

    • 3). Practice balancing your weight in place. Start by placing your weight on your whole foot from ball to heel. Then practice shifting your weight slightly forward and backward to get a sense of the balance in the pair of strappy sandals. Keep your posture aligned as though you have a string going up your entire spine and attaching to the ceiling.

    • 4). Step forward, placing your weight first on your heel and then extending your weight onto the whole of your foot. Make sure your posture remains tall and straight.

    • 5). Start the next step by pushing off on the ball of your other foot and shifting your weight forward. Once again, step on the heel of the shoe gently and let the rest of your foot follow.
