Dieting is stressful; losing weight is strenuous on our bodies; trying to keep up with the latest craze in skinny is mentally exhausting.
Here's the thing: if you follow healthy eating guidelines - rather than the latest fad diet - you will not be stressed.
We all have enough to worry about that we should not be stressing over what size dress we are wearing and if we can eat a celery stalk today.
Now, I am not saying that we should eat whatever we want.
What I am saying is that we need to learn what to eat, and how much, and the stress is lifted.
No, most of us do not have the time or money to spend hours in the gym like many celebrities do, but that does not mean we cannot have the same body.
Your body was designed to function in a certain manner.
This being said, it needs a certain amount of particular chemicals, vitamins, and minerals, to function as it was designed to.
Without this, it begins to shut down and redirect its efforts to more negative functions like storing fat.
So, if you are dieting and starving yourself, you need to stop.
This is exactly what causes body fat gain.
What you do need to do is fill your body with complex carbohydrates, protein, and fats.
You also need to give it an outlet for release of energy, a good combination of cardio and strength training workouts.
If you do these two things, your body will automatically begin functioning as it was designed to do.
And without cutting your calories you will notice that body fat begins to disappear, muscle begins to form, and your overall confidence level starts rising.
Many of you may be thinking "it always sounds so simple yet it never works".
Well, this approach is so basic, that as long as you stick to a healthy diet 80% of the time, it will work.
Steer clear of the inner aisles at the super market; this will help you a lot.
Focus on fresh, natural foods, foods like fruits, vegetables, meats, nuts, whole grains, and dairy and you will be giving your body exactly what it needs.
You also need to eat these foods 5-6 times a day around the same time every day.
This type of diet helps stabilize sugar levels within your body, which helps in the overall processing of the foods that you do eat, and the energy that is dispersed throughout your body.
Yes, it really is this easy, I promise.
If we go back to the old days and eat what can be grown, harvested, or butchered, our rate of obesity will decline along with a handful of life-threatening diseases that are taking many at young ages.
Focus on the outer aisles of your local super market and get off the couch.
Before long these healthy eating guidelines will turn into habits and you will be shocked that you lived the way you did before.
And see, less stress!
