Add excitement to your next get together when you serve up a special cocktail or two to your guest while celebrating the Olympics. On the other hand, you may just want to sit back and sip on something new and different while you watch your favorite events. There are a number of perfect cocktails for either occasion that will get you in the spirit of the Olympic Games.

    The Olympic

    • The staple cocktail for celebrating the Olympic Games is a combination of 1 1/2 oz. of brandy, 1/4 oz. of triple sec, 3/4 oz. of orange juice and a dash of lemon juice shaken over ice and served in a cocktail glass.

    Artic Kiss

    • A simple cocktail to commemorate the Winter Olympics, the Arctic Kiss consists of 2 oz. of chilled vodka poured into a champagne glass and topped with 3 oz. of champagne.

    Summer Dream

    • During the Summer Olympic Games, serve up a Summer Dream cocktail as you root for your favorite athletes. The cocktail combines 1 oz. of Passoa Liqueur and 5 oz. of lemon-lime soda in a highball glass with crushed ice, topped off with a garnish of a cherry or lime twist.

    Golden Cola

    • This cocktail, which has four shots of Goldschlager, one shot of 151 proof rum, one shot of vanilla liqueur and one can of cola is packed with a punch and may have you ready to go for the gold yourself. Serve the Golden Cola in a highball glass half filled with crush ice by first adding the alcohol, then the cola and mixing it well.

    Track Star

    • If running is your game, serve up the cold and creamy Track Star cocktail as you cheer on your team. A combination of 2 oz. of spiced navy rum, 2 oz. of root beer and a scoop of vanilla ice cream served in a beer mug with a spoon make up this adult version of a root beer float.

    Ski Slope

    • If you or your guests wish you could hit the slopes along with the teams competing in the Winter Olympic Games, mix up a Ski Slope cocktail to share for the next best thing. This cocktail, served over ice, is said to taste like fruit punch with a kick and is a mixture of 1 oz. of vodka, 1 oz. of Amaretto, 1 oz. of whiskey, 1 oz. of Southern Comfort, 2 oz. of sloe gin, sour mix and lemon-lime soda.
