- 1). Go to the USPS website, USPS.com. Click on the tab on the top of the page labeled "Calculate Postage." Select "Domestic" (within the country), "International" (out of the country) or "Business" (from a business).
- 2). Enter all valid information. The Postage Price Calculator will ask you what country the mail is going to, the ZIP codes coming from and going to (if within the United States), the date it will be mailed, whether you are going to use flat-rate shipping or a standard envelope or box, and the weight of the box.
- 3). Select the service you wish to use. The site will give you a list of shipping options, how fast the mail will be delivered, and the pricing options for paying at the post office or online. The site will also give a list of local post offices and their addresses.
- 4). Add any extra services if necessary. If you have any other services you wish to add to the shipment, including delivery confirmation, insurance or return receipt, you can add them by clicking the "Extra Services" button. The cost of these services will be added onto the price of the postage.
