The Recruitment Process in Network Marketing - A Plan for Success

Recruit, recruit, recruit.
That's all most people think about in their network marketing business, and with good reason.
Recruiting is one of the most important activities in your business, as it involves both selling product and adding more distributors to your network, growing your business much faster.
However, many people think about recruiting the wrong way and you may be one of them.
You may believe that recruiting is just about talking to people about your business and then signing them up.
If they don't sign up right then, you move on to the next person, simple as that.
Let me go ahead and tell you that this process will only cause you to burn out very quickly your business and not have much success.
Recruiting is a process and takes time.
There are the few cases where someone will join your business the first time you talk to them, but it doesn't happen very often.
Most people are going to require a few exposures before they're ready to join and that's OK.
If you're following the recruiting process, you'll be ready for them and will get them into your business, whether it's today or 6 months from now.
Here's a process to follow that will give you the greatest chance for success.
Use a third-party presentation for the first exposure When you talk to someone about your business for the first time, be ready to direct them to a third-party tool that your company or your team has set up.
If you don't have one of these, whether it's a CD, recorded phone call, or a web presentation, I'd suggest you get on to another company! These tools make it extremely easy to expose people to your business without putting pressure on you to be a superstar.
And, it creates easy duplication in your team.
When people see you doing it, they'll know that they will be able to do the same thing so that they can recruit their own people.
Bring up the topic of your business in a very generic way by asking, "Hey, this may or may not be for you, but would you be interested in a side project that wouldn't interfere with what you're currently doing?" No pressure on you to make a big sales pitch, no pressure on your prospect.
If they say yes, direct them to your third-party tool.
Then move on to the next step...
Schedule a follow up with them Now, you will have few people that will join after listening to your recruiting tool.
Most won't.
They'll want some more information or have questions.
Which is fine, because you're going to schedule a follow up with them when you give them the recruiting tool.
Don't wait to do this, schedule a time right then and there.
Whether it's the next day or next week, get a commitment from them to talk or meet again.
Once you have that commitment, you're one step closer to bringing them into your network marketing business.
Be ready to conduct a three-way call with your upline Now, there's a lot of people out there in internet land that are telling you to forget about your upline and their tired, old tactics of getting people to join your business.
Don't listen to them.
If you have a great upline, they'll be ready and willing to talk to your prospects about the business.
You don't need to feel the pressure of knowing everything about your business right now, you need to focus on growing your business.
Let your upline do the presenting for you.
When you meet up with your prospect again, make sure you've got someone from your upline prepped and ready to get on a three-way call with you to talk to your prospect.
Call them up, and then keep your mouth shut.
You don't want to say too much, leave that to your upline leader.
Again, you're taking the pressure off yourself and you're showing what it takes to recruit people to your prospect.
When they see you making three-way calls, they'll know that they can and will do the same thing to get people into their network marketing business.
Get them to a meeting If your prospect is still interested in joining after a three-way call, it's time to get them to a meeting.
Whether it's in your home, a restaurant, or a conference center, they're ready to see a full business presentation.
And, if you've followed the recruiting process properly, the chances of them joining during this presentation are extremely high.
And you don't even have to do the meeting yourself.
Have one of your upline leaders there to present, whether they're in person or doing a web conference call.
With the technology that's available today, people can conduct meetings from anywhere in the world and do multiple meetings at the same time.
Again, take the pressure off yourself and show what it takes to duplicate in your network marketing business.
You and your prospects will be glad you did.
Recruiting is a multiple-step process for most people.
They need to see the business multiple times before they're ready to commit and join with you, and that's ok.
If you can remember that recruiting is a process and not a one-time pitch, you'll have a much greater chance at success and grow your network marketing business quickly.
