Everyone has gifts, but just how many are putting them into practice and using their full potential.
Ones potential is existing in possibility, capable of development into actuality.
Many individuals focus on the negatives in life and totally overlook their strengths and positives.
On a scale from one to ten, if you are a two in an area with much work and effort on your part, you just might become a four.
That is still not very good because that is not your strength zone.
However, maybe you're a seven in an area and with work and effort on your part you just might become an eight or nine.
People will stand in line to listen to or see the work of a nine.
This can be any area you are good at, music, art, drama, being an encourager, a good friend, good neighbor, whatever you are good at is your strength zone.
How many people are living lives below their potential.
Composer Gian Menotti stated, "Hell begins on that day when God grants us a clear vision of all that we might have achieved, of all the gifts we wasted, of all that we might have done that we did not do.
" That is such a true statement, for how sad would it be to learn that we had the chance to live our lives in the way God intended, being fulfilled and happy but we never lived up to our potential.
What makes you happy inside, bringing that spark to your eyes, and the enthusiasm to your walk.
Visualize what you would be doing if you could overcome the obstacles in your life.
What are your dreams, people will never go beyond their dreams, so dream big and see the potential in yourself.
Why is it that people will always gravitate to their weaknesses not their strengths, especially in their own lives.
We need to always know our weakness and realize that we are just not very good in that area.
However, in areas that we do well, sharpen those skills that already exist and excel in that area.
Realize your positive qualities and bring out your gifts inherent in them.
The real test is between what you've done and what you're capable of doing.
Reach for your dreams no matter how high or lofty they may seem.
God has a plan for your life, so never settle for second best.
It is crucial that you find God's will in all that you do.
Nothing else can actually take the place of knowing your purpose and your potential, not friends, family, fun, fame, or wealth.
King Solomon, the wisest man who ever lived, strayed from God's will and realized what this caused.
He wrote the Old Testament book of Ecclesiastes, which starts out with depressing words.
Ecclesiastes 1:2 "Meaningless! Meaningless! says the Teacher.
Utterly meaningless! Everything is meaningless" Find your potential in life and work to improve that area.
This will bring meaning and fulfillment in all you do, When you know the life you are meant to be living, it is easier to make the right choices and avoid the pit falls, the things that seem like a good idea but are going to lead you down the wrong path.
The world is full of negative people and distractions that may lead you astray, just to have company on their own journey through life.
When you choose the right people in your life and work on the skills you do well, then see your potential soar.
