Wow that is a really big claim isn't it that self meditation can transform your life.
So why can it make such a big difference, well for me to effectively explain this it may be best to illustrate it this way.
Consider the words below 1.
quite 2.
stillness 3.
peace 4.
tranquility Now consider these words.
1.
stressful, 2.
anxiety, 3.
frustration 4.
fear And ask you're self which do you either spend thinking about or doing? Now these words are by no means complete, however just ask your self what is your everyday experience of life? For many people it's not so much that life is bad it just seems to lack some balance What is life balance for you? For many life balance is being able to develop their careers and/or family's while maintaining who they are, often in the frenzy of modern life this gets lost, when this occurs we often blame external events.
Which to be fair can have huge influences these can range from our jobs, close relationships etc However though changing and dealing with these factors is often useful, and in some cases vital we can often miss a vital piece of the puzzle- ourselves.
Self Meditation Bringing You Back To You So often when our lives do not have balance we project outward looking to solve the problem out there in the big wide world, when we meditate we realign with ourselves and begin with ourselves, in a totally non judgmental way, by making time for self meditation.
Does this mean that all your problems melt away? No it does not, however with regular meditation they just do not seem that big anymore.
This enables you to have a much more healthy perspective you will tend to discover that the decisions you make are more considered and less short term, you will discover that by meditating as little as 20 mins a day you will have more energy.
So What Stops People Self Meditating? Well in my opinion there seems so many more quick fixes be it alcohol, smoking, drugs or many other distractions that seem to give the allure of instant gratification, in comparison something like meditation can seem attractive however slightly slow.
Consider this though think back how many different ways have you attempted in your life either to avoid thinking about something unpleasant or used an allegedly fast route to some instant happiness, let me ask are you there yet? For most people the reply is no.
There are primarily two reasons for this, the first one is ther is no where to go, in that looking for happiness, is fruitless in that it is not an object that is tangible, it actually is a natural occurring state that we can assess any time we want except for most of us its buried under a whole load of crap! Secondly the quick fixes don't fix quick, so in effect are by default they are slow fixes! So Start self meditating and begin a process of evolution, I can not promise any thing but change, and you will, possibly like myself look back and think why did I not do this earlier in my life
