A lot of guys are absolutely petrified when they think about approaching a woman. Their throat closes up, they have dry mouth, their blood pressure and temperature rises. In other words, they are so afraid of failing that they don't do anything. Instead, they let their fear control how they act.
If you find yourself in this category, don't berate yourself and make accusations toward your manhood! As I said above, this happens to a LOT of guys.
Just remember: Failure is a good thing.
"What? Are you nuts!" Think of it this way; when you fail, you get a chance to learn.
In baseball, a player goes up to bat. He swings, he misses. He may do this several times during the game. But, when he connects, it can be anything from a base hit to a double, triple, or home run.
Even baseball statistics declare that you'll miss more than you'll hit. A.400 average is pretty good (unless your Derek Jeter who's average is over.600). Basically, even a good player will miss 6 out of 10 times.
Each time a player misses, he goes back to the dugout, figures out what went wrong with his swing, and then corrects it. He doesn't fear the failure, he embraces it as a way to learn.
Now let me make this real easy for you. You're going to fail. The question you have to ask yourself is, "Do I want to learn from this, or just keep failing?" If you want to learn, then ask yourself these questions.
1. How did I talk? Too fast? Too slow? Too familiar?
2. Did she have a date with her? Was she with friends? Was she alone?
3. How were my conversation starters? Was the conversation interesting to her?
4. Was I relaxed and confident? Was I funny?
Self-assessment is a great tool. It gives you a chance to evaluate what you did right and wrong, which is the first steps to learning from your mistakes. Just remember what you learned for the next time.
