Eat Real Food For Proper Nutrition - Permanent Solutions to a Healthy Lifestyle - Part V

In my last article, we looked at the difference between real food and manufactured processed food.
I discussed the need to eat only real food as it is grown, if you plan to lose weight and gain a healthy lifestyle.
In this article, I'll cover more of how you can burn those extra calories.
Remember, to be real food, it must contain all the components of nutrients that are essential to supplying your body what it needs to function at peak performance.
These components are fiber, water, carbohydrates, fats, proteins, vitamins and minerals.
If all of these components are not naturally present in what you eat, then you are not eating real food.
You are eating man's facsimile of "food" that has been processed, denatured, and voided of its nutrients.
In short, you are malnourished, and slowly starving.
If you want to lose weight and be healthy for life, then avoid like the plague all concentrated, processed, and refined "foods.
" These falsely so-called "foods" are high in price and calories, but deficient in nutrients.
For you to lose weight effortlessly, stop eating anything that had a mother and has a face, oh and stay away from their by products.
All animal derived food, including their flesh and by products such as eggs, butter, milk, and cheese, have very little fiber, and are extremely high in bad fat, cholesterol, and calories.
Did you know that meats and cheeses are 60 to 80 percent fat?! Now if you are trying to loose weight, eating this stuff is certainly not in your best interest.
Another thing you can do to lose weight is to drink lots of water.
Six to eight glasses a day is a good guideline to follow.
Replace the artificially flavored sugar water (otherwise known as soda or pop) with a nice tall glass of pure water, spiced with some lemon or lime juice, but hold the sugar.
You should also take a brisk walk daily.
If you find you can only walk a short time, don't give up.
Stick to it until you can walk at least 30 minutes without filling tired or out of breath.
Furthermore, be on the lookout for moments of weakness.
If you're like most people, eating one cookie is a stepping-stone to devouring the whole pack.
If this describes you, then don't buy the cookies! This also holds true for all snack "foods.
" If you don't buy this junk in the first place, then it won't be around to entice you.
At those times when you may feel frustrated, lonely, or bored, instead of reaching for deceptively called "comfort food," call a friend for support, go walking, or grab a book and a pure glass of water.
To help keep you focused on your weight loss goal, ask God for strength and help.
After all, he intends for you to be healthy and prosperous.
Additionally, instead of thinking about all the stuff you should not eat; turn your thoughts to the hundreds of foods in their diverse and abundant varieties that you can eat.
Don't beat yourself up, but be patient and kind to yourself.
Give yourself time to adjust to this new way of eating and living.
Please, don't give up on yourself if you stumble or have a setback.
Remember, you have decided to make this lifelong investment in yourself, so stay on course.
This shift in your attitude will go a long way in helping you lose weight and keep it off.
In future articles, I will give more tips on weight loss and healthy living.
