How to Create GIFs in Photoshop

    • 1). Load the image that you want to convert into a GIF by transferring it from a digital source like a camera or an SD card, scanning it in or saving it to your desktop.

    • 2). Open Photoshop. Select "File" from the menu bar and click "Open." In the dialogue box that pops up, browse to the image that you loaded and click on it.

    • 3). Make any change to the document that you want to make now, such as cropping or making image adjustments.

    • 4). Select "Image" from the menu and click "Image Size." In the dialogue box that pops up, Change the "Interpolation" to "Bicubic Smoother" and reduce the size of the image to what you need for your purpose. If it happens to be at a high-resolution image and you will use it on the Internet, reduce the resolution to 72 pixels per inch. Click "OK."

    • 5). Select "File" from the menu and click "Save for Web or Devices." In the dialogue box that pops up, choose GIF as the file type. From the "Four Up" previews, choose the one with the lowest file size that you find acceptable. Click "Save." In the dialogue box, name your file and click "Save."
