How to Use Ghost to Clone a Drive

    • 1). Install a new hard drive for cloning. You can use another interior hard drive if your computer has space for it, or an external USB Drive. Make sure that the drive you are cloning to is the same size or bigger than the drive you're cloning from.

    • 2). Start your computer and open "Norton Ghost."

    • 3). Click "Ghost Advanced" from the menu on the left side of the program's window.

    • 4). Select "Clone" and click on "Next".

    • 5). Select the hard drive you want to clone as the "Source", and the hard drive you want to clone to as the "Destination."

    • 6). Click "Next" until you reach a task summary window. Review the information and click "Run Now". The process will take a while, depending on how much data you're cloning. Once it if finished, "Ghost" will reboot your computer and load your old hard drive.
