From classic favorites like Antoine's to relative newcomers such as Upperline Restaurant, New Orleans boasts an active culinary scene that has something for everyone. - Brennan's has been a fixture in the French Quarter since 1946, winning awards and accolades for its Creole and Cajun cuisine as well as its classically prepared French dishes. Brennan's is famous for its large breakfast menu, which features many classic Creole egg dishes, as well as a few Brennan's originals, such as Eggs Hussarde: poached eggs on a Holland rusk, Canadian bacon and Marchand de Vin sauce, topped with Hollandaise. Brennan's is also the birthplace of Bananas Foster, which is bananas sauteed in butter, brown sugar, cinnamon and banana liqueur, then flamed with rum.
