How to Remove a Battery From a G-Shock

    • 1). Pull out the strap from the buckle end. Unclip the face protector from the front.

    • 2). Remove the seven screws on the rear of the back plate. Remove the back plate, taking care not to move the alarm spring located just below the center of the back face.

    • 3). Remove the back shock protector rubber cover with plastic tweezers.

    • 4). Lever the clasp holding down the battery up with a sharp pin. Remove the battery with the plastic tweezers.

    • 5). Place a new battery in the battery slot with plastic tweezers. Click the holding clasp back into place.

    • 6). Use the pin to push the AC contact so that it touches the back of the battery.

    • 7). Remove the rubber O-ring around the edge. Give it a light coat of silicone grease. Replace the O-ring in its groove, starting at the bottom of the rear watch face.

    • 8). Replace the back shock protector rubber cover. Replace the back plate orientated correctly and reapply the screws. Replace the strap and clip on the face protector.
