Video tapes on fishing can inform and entertain you. They are available on a huge variety of topics, and are cheap enough to buy to watch over and over. Some are for rent at various stores, and you may be able to convince a rental store to buy some if you can get enough fishermen to request them. Then you can rent then cheaply and enjoy them one time.
Many of the TV fishing shows are available on tape.
If you like Bill Dance, you can order some of his shows (buy direct) to study in detail. For example, one tape contains lure tips on fishing crankbaits, spinnergbaits and Carolina rigs from three different shows. He will entertain you and make you laugh with the bloopers tapes, (buy direct) three videos showing outtakes from the show.
For the walleye fisherman, tapes and DVDs on catching big walleye are available. (buy direct) In Fisherman is another instructional show on TV and there area many other tapes from them.
For trout fishermen, tapes show various rivers all over the US and how to fish them. (buy direct) And for beautiful scenery, how about a trip to Alaska to catch trout, salmon and halibut? (buy direct)
These tapes and more are available through some video stores. Order some or visit your local rental store and check them out. Either way, video tapes are an enjoyable way to spend some time, and you may even learn something!
