- Having a photo album welcome book is a fun and creative way to store memories. The guests will enjoy browsing through the photos while they sign in and will be inspired to sign on those pages where they are included. Photos can range anywhere from engagement photos to childhood photos. Another option is to have a photo booth next to the welcome table for guests to dress up in funny costumes and have their photos taken. They can keep a copy for themselves and stick the extra copy into the photo album along with a little note.
- If you have a favorite photo of you and your sweetheart, you can enlarge the photo into a poster-size photo or have it recreated as a painting. The framed border, made of wood or fabric, could be a section for guests to sign-in and leave thoughtful notes. The painting or poster could later be hung in the home as a lovely reminder of your wedding day.
- Using a wedding quilt as a welcome book is unique. If you are a crafty individual and enjoy flexing your sewing muscles, create a quilt using leftover fabric from your wedding gown and from ironed-on photos. This will have guests "oohing" and "aahing" over your creation. Use a fabric marker so they can clearly write their message directly onto the quilt. The quilt is perfect for you and your honey to cuddle up together during cold winter nights and to remember the exchanging of the vows.
- A welcome book should be personal and reflective of your personalities. While the norm is to have an actual book for guests to sign, you can be as creative with this as you like. After all, it is your wedding. If you both enjoy gardening, consider using a flower vase filled with beautiful flowers as the sign-in vase. If you both enjoy sporting events, use a baseball bat or basketball in lieu of a book. Guests won't miss the book at all because these sentimental items are more reflective of your personality than the traditional book.
