    • 1). Type "192.168.1.1" without quotes into the address bar of your Web browser. Press "Enter."

    • 2). Enter the Linksys username and password. Use "admin" for both the username and password for newer Linksys routers. Use a blank username and "admin" for the password on older Linksys routers.

    • 3). Click "Wireless" and then click "Wireless Security."

    • 4). Click the drop-down list next to "Security Mode." Choose WPAv2, if available. Otherwise, choose WPA or WEP.

    • 5). Enter the desired wireless password or WEP key, and then click "Save Settings."
