Overview of the Cambridge Diet

The Cambridge Diet has been around for many years, but for whatever reason it seems to be re-gaining popularity.
Also commonly referred to the Cambridge Diet UK, this particular eating plan is a diet that was indeed created in Great Britain in 1984 and has been a lightning rod for both praise and criticism ever since.
The Cambridge Diet is an extremely low calorie diet or "crash" diet that has come under some scrutiny and even fire in the U.
S.
as a dangerous fad diet because of its incredibly small portion sizes starting out.
In fact, many of the portion sizes start at only 450 calories a day...
far below the minimum 1,200 that is recommended for the average human to function daily.
What's the actual evidence? There are many conflicting reports available online arguing over whether this diet is healthy or not.
While this can help a person lose weight, most very low calorie diets come under fire for being dangerous or insufficient.
The Cambridge Diet does provide very specifically formulated supplements in an attempt to provide the minimum of substance and vitamins required in the human body, but even in the United Kingdom where this diet is still popular it is only done with medical supervision.
While controversies will continue, this diet has been used by many to cut down a huge amount of weight.
These diets tend to be aimed at the morbidly or dangerously obese who have a BMI of over 25, and these individuals are checked up on weekly by trained professionals to make sure they are remaining healthy while on this diet.
The argument over the Cambridge Diet will most likely continue on, and while this diet may be extremely helpful, it should probably only be considered with extreme caution.
