- 1). Loosen the retention screws on the left side of the scope ring bases, allowing you to spread the mounting tabs on the interior edges of the bases. Place the rings on the barrel so the tabs are aligned with the grooves. Securely tighten the ring bases.
- 2). Remove the screws from the top of the rings and separate the tops. Place your scope onto the rings and reattach the tops, but do not completely tighten the screws -- the scope should be able to move.
- 3). Adjust the scope so that you have proper eye relief and that the sight picture is to your satisfaction. Turn the scope so that the crosshairs appear straight across and straight up and down. Finish tightening the screws when you have satisfactorily positioned your scope.
