HARRIS COUNTY, TEXAS Joe Arpaio, Maricopa County (Phoenix), Arizonas nationally renowned five term toughest Sheriff in America will return to the Houston area this June for a public event benefiting Carl Pittman, Republican for Harris County Sheriff. Arpaio, along with radio personalities Michael Berry and Sam Malone, in addition to other elected officials will hold a patriotic and family friendly event at the Humble Civic Center. Audience members will have a rare opportunity to hear the legendary Arpaio speak on important issues facing our community, including tough punishments for criminals, illegal immigration, narcotics enforcement and other law enforcement issues. Sheriff Arpaio will publicly endorse Harris County Sheriff deputy Carl Pittman for the position of Harris County Sheriff. Pittman is considered the front-runner Republican candidate for Harris County Sheriff in the 2012 election cycle.
The event will begin at 12:00 noon on Saturday, June 4, 2011. The event will feature a live band, barbeque and other concession stands as well as the featured speakers. The event will be held at the Humble Civic Center located at 8233 Will Clayton Parkway in Humble. A family friendly atmosphere, the event promises an entertaining and informative afternoon of patriotic themes and inspiring speeches.
Tickets for the event will be sold exclusively through Pittmans campaign website at www.carlforsheriff.com. Admission price is $35 for adults when purchased online and $40 in person the morning of the event; children aged ten (10) and under will be welcomed into the event at no cost. Bulk rates are available and parking is free of charge. For $75, an individual will receive an elusive VIP pass. With only 100 VIP tickets available, a VIP ticket holder will have the exciting opportunity to personally meet and have a picture taken with Sheriff Arpaio.
Sponsorships for the event are also available. A sponsorship includes ten (10) admission tickets, including five (5) VIP tickets. Additionally, sponsorship includes two (2) special invitations to attend an exclusive dinner on Friday, June 3, 2011 with Sheriff Arpaio and Carl Pittman. The event will surely sell out, as prior Arpaio appearances in the Houston area have attracted over 10,000 guests.
Arpaio is best known for his tough, no-nonsense approach to law enforcement. As Sheriff of Maricopa County, first elected in 1992, Arpaio has implemented an innovative and cost effective program to punish guilty inmates, including a tent city jail housing thousands of inmates in Korean War military issue tents in the Arizona Sonoran Desert; work detail programs and pink underwear for male inmates. Arpaio has gained notoriety in recent years for his tough approaches to illegal immigration, human trafficking and animal cruelty.
