- 1). Prepare your skin. It is important, before you even contemplate any techniques to hide your pimples, that you cleanse your face thoroughly, dry it and apply a toner or skin purifier to the affected area. It is vital to use a good toner that can penetrate the pores and help eradicate excessive oils on the skin. Be sure to use a clean cotton wool ball to prevent spreading bacteria to unaffected parts of your face. Allow the toner to dry before moisturising your face as usual.
- 2). Apply a small amount of concealer directly onto the pimples. Opt for a liquid or cream concealer but select the shade that closely matches your skin tone to get the most natural look. Using a cotton-tipped makeup applicator or cotton bud, dab the concealer on the pimples and let it set. With a clean cotton bud or brush, blend the concealer from the edges of the spots onto the rest of the skin until you have achieved an even tone. To help heal blemishes, consider using a medicated concealer.
- 3). Finish by applying translucent powder to the affected areas. This will make the edges of the bumps look smoother and the skin flawless. For smaller spots and blemishes, dabbing a concealer and translucent powder is often enough to camouflage pimples. But more prominent pimples may need a further application of makeup, in which case you can apply a light coat of foundation using a clean sponge. You can obtain disposable sponges from your local chemist or cosmetic shop.
