- 1). Look in the dishwasher owner's manual. Many GE dishwasher owner's manuals include a page on which the owner may write the model and serial number of the GE dishwasher. Check to see if this information is included. While this information does not immediately tell you what year the dishwasher was manufactured, the numbers can be used to ascertain this information. These numbers are also often included on a sticker inside of the dishwasher. Write the numbers down.
- 2). Look for the receipt inside of the manual. Some people will place the receipt or other warranty forms inside of the manual. The warranty forms and receipts have dates on them. These dates can help you know when the dishwasher was made.
- 3). Call the GE Answer Center by dialing 1-800-626-2000. The call center is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Give the customer service representative the model number and serial number. He should be able to give you information about when the appliance was manufactured based on that information.
- 4). Visit www.appliance411.com/service/date-code.php. Enter the information pertaining to your dishwasher in the search engine at the bottom of the page. The required information includes the brand, model number and serial number of the GE dishwasher.
- 5). Click the "Date It" button. You will see the year during which your GE dishwasher was made.
