- 1). Decide what speaker system you want to mount to your TV, and how you want to mount. Your two biggest concerns will be placement and accessibility. You'll have to make sure that you have the space to stick velcro on the TV in the same spots you want to place your speakers. The velcro can always be cut to fit the space you need, but it can't be cut so small that it won't hold the speaker.
- 2). Buy the velcro straps you need for mounting your speakers. You can buy velcro at any hardware or fabric store, and it's much less expensive than a speaker mount. The strongest type of velcro is "Industrial Strength," and it'll work the best for this project. Also make sure to buy velcro that has an adhesive back.
- 3). Size up the placement of your velcro straps on both the speakers and the TV. You need to have a basic blueprint of where you're going to stick the velcro straps before you start. If you have to cut the velcro to a specific size, now is the time to do it. Make sure your velcor placement is onstructing any critical parts of your TV or speakers (jacks, buttons, wires, etc.).
- 4). Peel the adhesive protector off the back of the velcro, and stick it in place on the TV. Press it down firmly, and smooth out out any air bubbles with your finger. Peel the adhesive back of the corresponding piece of velcro, and stick it to the back of the matching speaker. Again, press firmly and roll out any air bubbles.
- 5). Repeat steps 3 and 4 for your remaining speakers. Most systems come with 3 - 5 speakers, but you can use any system you want.
- 6). Plug in the cables and wires for the speaker system. It is usually easier to do this before you attach the speakers. Power on your TV and make sure everything works fine.
- 7). Stick each speaker to its corresponding piece of velcro placed on the TV. Press down and make sure your speaker is secure. Do this for all your remaining speakers.
