So when you want to point out something you have talked already, you can use the word "sore" or if it's plural you can use "sorera." Let's practice. Let's say, well, this is a pen; and pen is--in Japanese, it's "pen" so it's easy. So use the word "kore" and the word is "pen." How do you say it? Yes. Kore wa pen desu. That's correct.
