Family Theater Shows - Summer 2010

With school ending soon, it's time to plan summer activities for your family.
How about a trip to the theater? If you're cringing at the thought of yet another kids' show, don't worry.

" In addition to musicals, you can opt for a play, the circus, or a dance show.
A trip to the theater is a great way to create special memories and share quality time with the people you love.
In 2010, many shows are producing a national tour, so you may find a favorite in a city near you.
Some popular choices include: Lion King The audience: Disney fans of all ages Will visit: Portland, OR, Costa Mesa, CA, Las Vegas, NV, and other cities Fun fact: Elton John and Tim Rice wrote several Lion King songs, including "Circle of Life.
" The plot: In the heart of Africa, Simba the lion cub is heir to the throne.

Barnum's birthday, and Zing, Zang, Zoom features animal acts, human cannonballs, and more.
Walking With Dinosaurs The audience: Anyone who loves dinosaurs and huge arena shows.
Will visit: Bridgeport, CT, Providence, RI, Philadelphia, PA, and other cities Fun fact: The largest dinosaur in this show is 36 feet tall and 56 feet from nose to tail.
The plot: Welcome to the Triassic period, when giant reptiles roamed the earth.
You'll see 17 life sized dinosaurs in this fantastic arena show.
