- 1). Contact Verizon's customer service department from your landline phone or wireless handset. Verify that your account includes a data plan, which is necessary to access the Internet. If you do not have this service, add a data plan to your account.
- 2). Turn your phone on. Press and hold the power button (it resembles a picture of a red phone) for at least two to three seconds.
- 3). Tap the track pad or roll the track bar to open your home screen. Press the "Menu" key (on some phones it may resemble a series of small dots) and tap the browser icon (it looks like a small globe).
- 4). Type a web address into the web address field and tap the track pad or roll the track ball. You can also access a website by pressing the "Menu" key and tapping "Go To." After you type a web address, select "Enter."
