For me personally it was hard to allow myself to start to dream again.
After a while you almost forget what it is like to get excited about something and to feel enthusiastic about getting up and having another opportunity to get another day closer to your goals.
Many live just to pay the bills, meaning just making the cut on a daily basis.
The only excitement would be from a variation of the daily plan.
For some it isn't that we didn't set goals for ourselves or has dreams, but it was we didn't know to set goals or have dreams for ourselves.
As a kid, we are always asked 'what do you want to be when you grow up?' and we usually respond with being a doctor, lawyer, or football player.
Throughout adolescence, high school, and college we are still asked but it does taper off.
There are a certain percentage of high school students who actually make it to college and there is a percentage that makes it from college to their actual profession that they want.
Why is this? There is a certain point in time or life that 'real life' sets in and our plans change.
Once our plan changes or is delayed it is that much harder to get it back.
Getting that plan back after it has been delayed can be a struggle depending on whatever reason it was changed or delayed in the first place.
The very first step in the process is allowing you to dream again.
Dreaming of your goals changes your mind and psyche.
It breathes life back into your body as you get excited again about life.
If you have no dreams you have no life.
I also did say that you have to allow yourself to dream and get excited again.
Too many times we get down on ourselves and don't allow ourselves to be happy or to want or to simply give ourselves what we want.
Breaking out of this rut can be the most difficult thing in the world to someone, but when they do absolutely nothing can stop them afterward.
Life has a way of beating you even worse when you are down, but the only way you can strike back if you have a hope of winning this thing is by using your mind.
The only things you need are what you already have and what you already know.
When your back is against the wall and you are reaching out to someone who may or may not be there.
You need to look inward.
You start looking inward to solve your problems and people will volunteer to come help you out.
It is the simple law of attraction.
The more you ask for help, the scarcer it will be.
Go inward.
Rely on yourself.
Start to dream and get excited about actually getting what you want instead of going without.
Go after what you want and start dreaming.
