Have you ever met a lifer college student? Well surely that would be a cool thing to do, hang around all the young people and just keep stacking up degrees and forever collect knowledge.
Indeed sometimes I feel like that as I seek out new information to quench my thirstful appetite for knowledge.
Of course as a business person one cannot be a lifer student, as there are too many things to do, produce and idea or concepts to see to fruition you see? But alas there are many academic cave dwellers lurking out there.
Is being an academic cave dweller bad? No, not at all as long as you realize that you will eventually adopt a skewed liberal perspective of the world through all that brain-washing.
Many lifer college students are okay with all of this and they often seem to realize what is going on.
Why call the lifer-students academic cave dwellers? Well simple really you see they will not come out of the cave to see the real world and they have absolutely no desire too, they are very happy right where they are in every way.
If you will recall in Plato's Cave Allegory people are shackled in a cave facing the wall watching shadows of flickering flame on the wall trying to perceive what is behind them making the those shadows you see? Well lifetime college students remain on the campus learning all there is to know, yet never go out in the real world to see it all in action and what really makes the world go around.
