    • 2). Bring up the "Start" menu and click "My Computer." Find the drive letter that corresponds to your computer's Zip drive.

    • 3). Right-click on the Zip drive and select "Format." Click "Start" and wait for the formatting process to finish fixing the corrupted Zip disk.

    • 4). Open the file recovery program. Click the "Flash Drive and Zip Disk" icon at the left side of the window.

    • 5). Click the "Drive Letter" button and choose the Zip drive's location from the drop-down menu. Click the "Recovery Mode" button and choose "Rescue Corrupted Files."

    • 6). Click "Next." Scroll down to the "Recovery Option" heading. Click the radio button labeled "Max Data."

    • 7). Click on the check box next to the specific folder you want to recover. Select all of the folders if you want to recover all of the corrupted data.

    • 8). Select "Next" and then click "Start Recovery" to save the recovered files back onto the Zip disk.
