A voice to advise, an understanding person, a moment to think, an ear to listen to, a second to ponder and sometimes you just need to feel the support of a friend who just ‘gets' you.
Have you found yourself in a situation where, you feel alone, you feel unsupported and maybe even lost? Life seems to be an endless battle. In that moment, this is when that person who understands you can just say, do or be the right thing right then. That's what makes friendships so powerful. Those people who you feel closest to, and who can resonate with you on many levels.
Maybe it's those you spend time with on the weekend, or at dinner parties. Or maybe it's that long distance friend you speak to every month or so, but you always come off the phone with a smile on your face. Or perhaps it's that person that always seems to show up when you most need them, like the universe is sending them a message to get in touch with you and that you could do with having their energy at that moment.
what is really going on?
Is it the person at all?
Is it this person who makes you, or helps you to put you in a position of feeling better? Is it?
Or, is it that the person appeals to that happier lighter side of you, and when that person is in your thoughts, that side of you comes out and you start feeling better. Does your happiness actually come from within? And only from within? Is it the case that outer influences can cause that inner happiness to start to shine?
Well, yes this can be the case.
How many of us have looked for that person to love us, and when they love us we will be happy? And how many of us have found that this is just not the case? I have.
All happiness comes from within because it all starts with a decision to be happy. Maybe you're not aware of that decision. But at some point when you may have been feeling down or out of the game, your subconscious saw something, maybe a person or a funny comedy show, and decided to feel happiness.
How can I say this, you may be asking?
Ok, change the direction…
Have you ever felt so unhappy or sad about something, that when you saw something that would usually make you chuckle or laugh and feel joyous, it just wasn't funny? Maybe a person trying to cheer you up? And to you, it's just was not funny. The negative feeling is far greater. That's your mind deciding to stay in the negative and not feel your internal happiness or joy.
See what I am saying now? All happiness comes from within. Maybe because of outer influences, but you still decided to be happy about it.
What if I told you, all of life is a decision…well that's another article!
