- 1). Reset or replace the circuit breaker or fuse if the freezer is not working and a power outage recently occurred. Push the freezer power cord directly and completely into a working electrical outlet.
- 2). Turn the temperature control past the "Off" position and to a colder setting if the freezer is not cold or not cold enough. Be aware that it will take 24 hours or longer for a warm freezer to reach freezing temperature. Push items away from the door to make sure the door seals properly, maintaining a proper seal. Wipe the door seal with a damp cloth to clean it.
- 3). Set the temperature control to a warmer setting if the freezer is operating too much, if the food is too frozen or if frost develops around freezer surfaces. Note that the freezer may operate longer if the freezer was recently disconnected or large amounts of warm food have been added.
- 4). Place a 2-by-4 wood plank underneath the freezer if there is excessive vibration during use. Move the freezer away from the wall to reduce vibration.
- 5). Clean the freezer interior with a solution of baking soda and warm water if odors develop in the freezer. Close food items tightly to prevent odors from escaping and affecting the freezer.
