- 1). Launch Thunderbird and click "Tools," then "Options."
- 2). Customize the Songbird home page and default save folders from the "Main" tab.
- 3). Customize how Songbird manages your music library from the "Manage Files" tab.
- 4). Customize Web browser options from the "Tabs" and "Web Content" tabs.
- 5). Customize playback options including output buffer and audio normalization from the "Playback" tab.
- 6). Click the "Add-ons" tab and then click "Get Extensions" to browse the Songbird add-ons gallery. Popular add-ons include mashTape, an extension that displays Web content for the currently playing song, Last.fm Radio, an extension that enables playback of Last.fm radio stations and Music Recommendation, an extension that will suggest new artists not currently in your music library based on your listening habits.
- 7). Install add-ons by clicking "Download" and then "Install." Restart Songbird to activate the add-on.
- 8). Click "View," then "Feathers," then "Get more Feathers" to browse the theme directory.
- 9). Click "Download" and then "Install" to add the theme to Songbird. Restart Songbird to activate the theme.
