TV Online, How We Watch TV Is Changing Again

Do you remember the days of trying to adjust rabbit ears on your television to clear up the picture on one of the 10 stations you got? Big and heavy TVs that had horrible sound and a picture that was more static than an actual image. Fact is this really wasn't all that long ago. If you don't remember this type of television I'm sure your parents do.

Then we were introduced to cable TV. This new technology came in and we all jumped on board, with better picture quality and sound why wouldn't we want cable? It took a lot of time but eventually cable television became the popular choice around the world for people who were seeking entertainment.

Now the big trend is digital cable boxes and personal video recorders (PVR). The point is we have come a long way in the way we watch television and seek entertainment. It is not uncommon for your average home to have three or more TVs all connected to a cable box and a pvr. Televisions themselves have seen huge upgrades in recent years. We are now getting bigger and bigger flat screens that hang on walls like pictures, and the newest technology starting to make its way onto the scene is 3D TVs. Add to that a surround sound systems that can rattle your house with crystal clear sound. This isn't your grandmas way of watching television.

Satellite television lets us watch TV from around the world. Thousands of channels from anywhere you want and in any language you like. This is great since the country is becoming so culturally diverse. Satellites broadcast signals across the globe and all we need to have is the right equipment to catch that signal and watch whatever program we want.

So what's next? Well there is this really cool thing called the internet, I'm pretty sure its here to stay. People are learning that you can now watch satellite TV on the internet just by downloading a cheap piece of software that catches the satellite signals. Most people today can't live without computers, we use them every day and would be truly lost without them. So it only seems logical that people will want to combine the two technologies and be able to get television programs on their computers. What would be the benefit of this you ask? Well its simple, you don't have to pay monthly subscription fees to get signals on your computer. Well that's not entirely true, you still have to pay for your internet connection, but really why pay for both.

It has been said that satellite television on the internet is the future of TV. Well that remains to be seen but I'm sure a lot of people never believed that cable TV would never replace rabbit ears on top of bulky old TV sets either.
