- 1). Visit a craft or fabric store to purchase tulle in shades that complement the wedding colors. Tulle comes in a rainbow of colors that are available in both matte or glossy and sparkly finish. Purchase 3 yards of tulle, 6 inches wide, for every bow. You can typically find tulle in a large roll in the ribbon section.
- 2). Lay the tulle on a flat surface and measure out 1 yard, or 36 inches. Cut the tulle at this measurement. At this point you will have two pieces of tulle -- a 2-yard piece and a 1-yard piece.
- 3). Find the center of the 2 yards of tulle and hold it with one hand. Grasp the tulle 12 inches from the left of the center and make a loop. Pull the loop back to the center and secure it with your opposite hand. Grasp the tulle 12 inches from the right of the center and make a loop. At this point the tulle will resemble a bow. Wrap a twist tie around the center of the bow to hold the loops in place.
- 4). Grasp the center of the 1-yard piece of tulle ribbon. Wrap the ribbon around the center of the bow. The twist tie can remain around the center of the bow, or you can remove it before tying. Tie the tulle around the center and arrange the long tails between the other two tails.
- 5). Fluff the two loops. Cut the bottom of the tails at an angle.
