How to Copy an XP CD to a USB

    • 1). Obtain WinToFlash from the official site. Extract the .zip file. Double-click "WinToFlash.exe" to launch the application.

    • 2). Click the green check mark, then click the "Next" button.

    • 3). Insert the Windows XP installation CD into the disc drive. Click the "Select" button beside the "Windows file path" line. Select the disc drive (the one containing the Windows XP CD) from the list.

    • 4). Attach the USB drive. Click "Select" beside the "USB drive" line. Choose the USB drive from the drive list. Click "Next" to proceed.

    • 5). Read and accept the licensing agreement. Click the "Continue" button.

    • 6). Click "OK" when the warning appears. The process of formatting the USB drive and copying Windows XP to the drive will now begin. Click "Next" when the format is finished. Click "Exit" to quit WinToFlash. The Windows XP is now successfully copied to the USB drive.
