I am going to try and present the game to you through this article.
What is the general plot of Eve Online? In short, mankind started to colonize space since Earth could no longer sustain them.
They built stargates with which they could travel deeper into the cosmos.
War started between corporations who wanted to take control of every planet they could get.
Battles raged until the discovery of a natural wormhole they named Eve.
Milions of colonists went trough Eve to a virgin system they came to call New Eden.
Not long after, the wormhole collapsed isolating the colonists from the homewrolds that sustained them.
Civilization as we know it vanished, but soon after, the last remnants of mankind learnt to adapt and began to flourish.
Society was soon reborn and 4 races appeared.
What races can we encounter in Eve Online? The Amarr, were the first to rise from the darkness inventing space flight once again and discovered that they were not alone.
They encountered The Minmatar race which they quickly dismissed as a barbarian race and quickly moved to subjugate them through ruthless crusades against their home worlds.
In the same time, The Gallente were flourishing near by setting the stones for the first independent state.
Their liberalism soon clashed with The Caldari capitalism.
The Caldari are a race which are in an endless pursuit of economic and military might.
War became the defining essence of mankind once again.
Where will I be in Eve Online? The 4 races eventually called an universal truce.
Your character will be thrown into this universe right after that truce is declared, but if you think that the battles are over, you are terribly wrong.
From the very beginning you will be called upon to aid your corporation in it's quest for power and wealth.
What will I do in Eve Online? As you start the game, you will be trained in all aspects of the game, it will be up to you which path you want to take.
You can become a pirate, an industrialist, a scientist, or just a pilot who's missions is to protect those that are weak.
Embrace the destiny that is rightfully yours.
