How to Upgrade a Laptop to SSD

    • 1). Turn off your computer and take out its battery. Remove your laptop's power adapter and take the plug out of the wall.

    • 2). Find the bay cover of your external disk drive. You can normally locate this component beneath your laptop chassis.

    • 3). Take out each screw that locks your bay cover and drive into their location. Gently ease your hard drive out of its bay.

    • 4). Ease your SSD into your drive. Attach it in the same manner as your previous hard drive. Put back the bay cover and screws to secure your new drive into place.
