Learn the Basic Symptoms of an Anxiety Disorder Did you ever think that you would be in this position? Where your anxiety is so far out of control that you are considering the possibility of having a disorder? Many people have felt the same way that you do and gone through what you are going through.
This is why it is crucial that you learn and understand the basic symptoms of an anxiety disorder, so that you can learn exactly what you are dealing with.
That will put you one step closer to finding relief from the terrible anxious feelings that you cannot seem to escape from.
1 - Constantly feeling anxious - I know this one sounds a little silly, but it is actually crucial.
The biggest thing that separates normal anxiety from a disorder is the intensity of those anxious feelings.
Someone with a disorder will feel anxious almost all of the time.
It will effect sleeping habits, eating habits, work, everything.
It will literally consume you.
2 - Depression - remember those intensely anxious feelings? When you cannot escape from them, you will find yourself becoming depressed.
Feeling depressed is natural if you are facing any type of major anxiety, but when you have the disorder, you find yourself becoming depressed to the point of not wanting to be around others, missing work, and even having a hard time getting out of bed.
3.
Anxiety Attacks - it is not uncommon for a person to have these attacks.
In fact, it is more common than most people might think.
However, a person with this disorder will find themselves having attacks more than three times a month.
Typically, they will have attacks more than once a week.
The attack will be brutal and may last for hours or even days.
4.
Physical Changes Due to Anxiety - as you can probably imagine, all of the above factors can take quite a toll on the body.
If you think you have an anxiety disorder, watch for physical symptoms.
This includes: - changes in eating habits - insomnia - frequent headaches - constant nausea - weight loss or gain - feeling sick even though your doctor may not find anything physically wrong - constantly feeling exhausted.
If you have any of these basic symptoms of an anxiety disorder, you need to seek help.
You do not need to have all of the above symptoms to have the disorder, you may even have symptoms not listed above.
But these are the most common signs that there may be something more than anxious feelings at work.
