Introduction to Respiratory System Homeostasis:

The respiratory system homeostasis is an integrated network of organs and tubes that coordinate the replacement of oxygen and carbon dioxide between an organism and its environment. Harmony we can see the fact that the respiratory system in animals involves the consumption of oxygen and input of carbon dioxide to the environment environments, while in plants the respiratory system homeostasis involves the consumption of carbon dioxide and contribution of oxygen to the environment.

Brief explanation of Respiratory system homeostasis:

Respiratory system homeostasis is concerned with the regulation of a blood gas composition that is compatible with maintaining cellular homeostasis. This system provided that the lung-capillary replace barrier does not avoid the exchange of gases, then blood leaving the lung will have oxygen and carbon dioxide partial pressure which similar to the average values found in the alveoli. These values are established by Alveolar ventilation. If blood gas composition especially of carbon dioxide, which moves outside the homeostatic range, the change is detected by chemoreceptor and respiratory responses are promoted which modify alveolar ventilation, alter alveolar gas composition and so reverse the change. Ventilation therapies which provide the means of artificially restoring alveolar gas composition. In general some terms, they do this by raising the incomplete pressure of oxygen within the alveoli either by using oxygen-enriched gas mixtures, or by improving the freshening of alveoli using positive pressure.

Humans can survive for the weeks or even months without any food, and days without water, but only a few minutes without breathing. Since oxygen is so vital to the energy wants the human body, it is necessary that we maintain healthy lungs by breathing clean air as much as possible and by supplying the body in general with good nutrition. Since this respiratory system is also a system of elimination, it is very much affected when the other systems of elimination are not functioning properly.
