9 Tips to Get More Healthy During the Spring

Spring is a time to revitalize yourself.
The warmer weather makes us all want to be more active and want to be outside.
That's why we do our "spring cleaning," because we are in a mild state of euphoria with the winter weather gone.
However, it's not just our home or office that seems to get a cleaning as well but, also our bodies.
This is because being indoors throughout the winter caused us to have lower levels of Vitamin D.
Our bodies are not used to all of this new sunlight which heavily impacts our Vitamin D levels.
Sunlight produces increased levels of Vitamin D in our skin so, if we are inside often we have low levels.
However, once we go outside more with the warmer weather those Vitamin D levels rise too quick for our bodies to adapt so, we get sick So, to prevent ourselves from getting sick this spring here are some tips to keep yourself healthy and have more energy to perform at your best.
1.
Avoid excessive alcohol intake.
One glass of wine per day is supposedly good for you however, drinking it in excessive amounts lead to severe dehydration, worsening the function of your immune system.
2.
Wash your hands and keep them clean.
There are a lot of germs floating around so make sure they don't get into your body.
3.
Make sure to take some Vitamin C AND Vitamin D daily.
Since both vitamins support the immune function but, cannot be produced by your body it is important to find sources of Vitamin C and include them as part of your diet.
Enjoying regular helpings of fruits and vegetables or a daily dose of adaptogens will work just fine.
4.
Make sure you get lots of sleep.
Not getting enough sleep is bad for your immune function so try to make sure you get at least 6 hours a night.
5.
Do some spinal stretches.
One way to stand shoulder-width apart with your knees slightly bent, take a deep breath and then touch your chin to your chest.
You then slowly bend over while exhaling, bend down as low as you can go, feeling each vertebra stretch and then hold that position at the lowest point until you need to get air in which you slowly bend back up with you chin tucked to your chest and inhale.
Repeat this two more times.
The good feelings from being more flexible actually improve your immune function.
6.
Exercise.
I don't think I need to say more.
7.
Eat some saturated fats.
Yes, I am asking you to consider taking saturated fats.
Fats actually do this and are good for boosting your immune function.
One highly recommended oil is coconut oil.
If you are looking for a supplement consider pills with omega 3 fatty acids.
8.
Take goji berries.
These berries are commonly used in Chinese medicine to boost your immune function.
Many essential nutrients and vitamins are in goji berries.
Goji berries are also a staple in the Raging Tiger herbal formula.
9.
Drink water.
It's important to stay hydrated because water is essential to the well-being of your immune system.
Staying hydrated also helps accelerate the removal of toxins in your body.
If you apply some of these tips to your daily routine you will be better protected against the powerful forces of spring sickness and you can spring right into life!
