- 1). Open a file in Word, PowerPoint or Access.
- 2). Choose "Insert" > "Chart." Excel opens.
- 3). Edit the data series in Excel. Add or remove rows and columns as necessary. Modify cell data as necessary.
- 4). Close Excel. The chart you created appears in Word, PowerPoint or Access.
- 5). To update the data series, click the chart, right-click and then choose "Edit in Excel."
- 6). Modify the data series in Excel. When you close Excel, the updated chart appears in Word, PowerPoint or Access.
