Instructions for How to Create Screen Savers

    • 1). In Windows XP or Vista, click on the "Start" menu and select "Control Panel." Click "Display." Select the "Screen Saver" tab. From the drop-down menu under "Screen Saver," choose "My Pictures Slideshow." Click "Apply." Your default screen saver will cycle through images saved in your "My Pictures" folder.

    • 2). In Windows 7, click on the "Start" menu and select "Control Panel." Click "Personalization." Click "Screen Saver." From the drop-down menu under "Screen Saver," choose "Photos." Click "Apply." Your default screen saver will cycle through images saved in your "Pictures" folder. Click "Settings" to open a menu that allows you to change the cycling speed of the photos. Click the box for "Shuffle pictures" to display the images in a random order.

    • 3). On a Mac, open the Apple menu and click "System Preferences." Click "Desktop & Screen Saver." Select the "Screen Saver" tab. From the "Screen Saver" menu, click "Pictures Folder" under "Pictures." Click "Library." Your default screen saver will cycle through images saved in your iPhoto library.
