- 1). Use computer programs. Windows Calendar and iCal are examples. They can be used by the day, week or month. The day pages list each hour of the day with blank spaces to fill in your items.
- 2). Search online for free daily day planner templates. The Internet has dozens of websites with free templates. Just plug in "free online daily day planner" in the search bar, and sort through the results. You might have to sign up for a free service, download pages and save them on your computer.
- 3). Customized the templates and print out pages. Don't forget to save the file or bookmark them on your Web browser. This ensures you can find them easily in the future.
- 4). Punch holes in the paper, preferably with a three-hole punch. Depending on the hole puncher, you might have to do so in little stacks until you've finished the entire pile.
- 5). Put the pages in a three-ring binder. Now your planner is ready! Get busy.
