Singing Techniques That Will Improve Your Voice Drastically

Technique is described in the common dictionary as being a process to do anything.
The term does not refer to correctness in any way, it is an advisory list of how to, generated usually by those who have tried a specific task and succeeded in a specific goal.
With this in mind here is the top three singing techniques to kick start your moment into the karaoke limelight.
Breathe deep and with purpose.
Sounds simple enough! Breathing is a part of the autonomous nervous system and therefore is able to function aside from the conscious self, yet we also can take conscious control.
Problem is, when we take control we tend to suck the air in and reverse the natural action and flow of breathing.
Watch someone sleeping, completely in autonomous control, when they breathe in, their belly will bloat upward, and reverse when breathing out; now ask a conscious person to breathe in, nine times out of ten you will see them pull in at the belly, which is unnatural.
Singing takes lung power! Breathing in the right way will not only expand your capacity levels, it will help give the momentum and strength to carry your voice further; but it takes training and or practice.
Shower sing or cover your ears to truly hear yourself.
However silly it may seem to advocate the proverbial singing in the shower, it is an excellent tool to properly hear the pitch and tone to which you are most suited.
Covering your ears seems to have a similar echo/clarity effect.
We all have an inbuilt ability to see or hear what we want, and singing amongst the din makes it is easy to blend in and seem fantastic.
If you truly want to judge your singing voice, create a space of quiet and isolation.
This is why the shower can be fantastic, mostly it is private, the tiles create an atmosphere of sound proofing meaning the sound seems to not travel quickly from the area making it more clear and the sound of the water although constant, is nothing in comparison to the television, radio or church choir.
Experimentation is imperative.
It is an advocated tool in singing.
Even if you do not like a certain genre of music, allowing your voice to sample and play with it will only expand your ability to hit a wider variety of notes, broadening your capabilities.
Try to perform an arpeggio, the continuous singing of all the notes on the musical scale in a succession.
It is usually only the trained voices that can pull this off and it is constant varying practice that is the curriculum of training.
Singing is a joy, and it should never be restricted to those who can either afford a good tutor, or those born with an obvious intrinsic gift.
Research the techniques, buy a how to DVD or computer application, and remember to practice and never give up.
